2006, i was thinking to skip the reviewing piece of what i done right or wrong, but seen so many of my pals doing it, my heart just ichy to do one as well...
Executive Summary - 2005
A year of CHANGE.
WORK - After months of struggling i finally step out of the first boat and landed on the third boat. Its a good boat for me but will it able to carry me far, the first 6 months of 2006 is the determining period.
LIFE - There has been big UPs and DOWNs this year. Something was on the verge of happening, but it didn't. I am glad for it to happen, and glad it did not. Its a mix feeling. But I've learn a lot and will be more mature in handling it.
FATHERHOOD - My son has grown up a lot and change a lot. This few months and probably the year will be testing my patience to the max. He is getting smarter, more analytical and surprisingly intelligent (i mean i could not think of myself that intelligent at the same age). Start to feel the commitments as it start to shaping up and prompt me to plan.
FRIENDS - A good lost of coffee Gary pal to Cyberjaya still a big hole in my afternoon worklife. I miss the coffee drinking session, haha. On the otherhand, the blog and others have helped me make a couple more new friends, understand couple old pals better and keep in touch with some old old pals down in KL (yeah, Eugene dude!)
BLOG - Start my first blog, something i couldn't imagine i will stay for that long that far till now. Thanks to Teddy, Kancil and Bahija. Yeah, you guys "made" me do it consistently, I am proud. Haha.. And to those friends who has access to this blog, thanks as the motivation to write something here, sometimes is becoz of you :)
COMPUTER - I finally buy my first Intel processor and I am dissapointed. The Dual Core 830 run lilke a hot oven that i need to get a special cooling for it to be useful for my games. What on earth is those engineers thinking when they crank out this piece of crap? For those who think of buying the latest or greatest, get out of Intel processor and invest in AMD's Athlon 64 X2. Same dual core but running cooler. Now i need to save for my AMD dual core processor in 2006, what a shame....
GAMES - Surprisingly, I played less this year compare to the past year (not by counting but feeling). I thought I would never able to quit playing but the time has start to show i can. In fact, i am not more interested to read then play games. Will i quite games, i dare not think... but maybe my son will "succeed" me. (He has started to like to stick to me when i play games and push button here and there, plus laugh out loud when some "cute" (to him only) noise pops up)
READING - I start to read a lot for the past 3 months, as i felt i am lagging or not good enough in many areas....e.g. People development, Ops Mgmt, Strategic Thinking/Mgmt and Leadership were the four key areas where my focus on. However, i am not enjoying reading/studying my MBA exams... its a pain in the xxx.
Lastly, I end the year to celebrate my day. Today is no longer special for me, it used to be, ya know when we were young, you always waiting for this day so your parents might get something for you or bring you some places... for me, i hope it will be just a day like any other day, as i have learn to enjoy my every single day and did not need a special day to practice it :)
Good'y all and Happy New Year !
