Phone? PDA? PDA-Phone?

Recently influence by many (an excuse...), i have decided to get a toy for myself (seems to using this reason quarterly if not monthly, ahem...)

I would like to get a device that
- Can read Outlook emails in/off office
- Can be a phone
- Can have latest features (as many as possible)
- light

So i was surfing, wandering malls/shops and asking around (Tang, AndyY...etc), i was this close (1 inch) to get one until yesterday i found out that if i want to use it in office, it will cost me USD300 per year... sigh... And office unable to support the latest OS just yet.... sigh....

End up, i am holding up now again.... But i found myself start miss out meetings (too many meetings at different time from morning to mid-night to eary hours...), i need something to help me manage it more effectively... something that not required me to start up my laptop (~3-5 mins), login and open outlook (~4-7 mins) and the 3kg of weight for that bulky ugly slow laptop.... (i am glad the refresh will be in 2H06)...

So, my wife hit my head twice and tell me the Nokia 6230 i have now can sync with Outlook calendar.... oh boy, i am malu to call myself a techies....

download the Nokie PC Suite 3.7, installed (+20 mins) reboot (+10 mins), infra-red on...setup profile (5 mins), SYNC (2 mins...)

Bang, here you go, my nokia showing Weekly Calendar view from 24hrs and brief information on what is the meeting...

Then use the PC suite to download some songs into my phone, convert some of JPG into Nokia wallpaper size (automatically)... now i have this new company logo as wallpaper, new mp3s and all my calendar from now till late April (you can set).

Although the only trouble is i need to sync with my laptop daily, but i guess for now, i will settle with it until my company able to support the new OS/features plus my boss agreed to pay the 300 bucks....

Meow~
