I am not sure I am too sensitive, but for the past few months where i work for so many people in US, i find they have certain characteristic...
- they are very proud of their knowledge
- they are very capable in communicate their ideas
- they can mix up easily as "work-like" friends but not personal friends (if you able to differentiate)
However, they don't like to share too much of it, partly i believe is beliving that those knowledge is the key for them to stay in the job, or they feel uncomfortable to let other people view/see what they really knows...
On the other hand, they can social so well that i am like a mummified human, i hope to pick up the skills here...
Unless i share their culture or some interests, sometimes its tough to get into topics with them...luckily our group has 2-3 technical gadgets folks...so i am much more comfortable dealing with them after work hours ... haha
One thing I know we are strong, data driven and less lip services :) sometimes that translate to more hardwork for us and less for them, well, just like some good things always go to richer people and not us, so just take it and go.... life has never design for us to compare each other, but to make sure we are different!

I agree. Sometime we loose out not because of our ability. Just because we lack of the skill in promoting ourself.
