Alas, almost one year down south

It's almost close to a year, or 9 months in exact, i am now exploring my life down south...away from sea breeze and occasionally traffic jam to the guru's of traffic jam in Malaysia, KL.

How's the life? Took up stupid job at a reputable company but suck in providing services to it's customer which suck up all my energy for firefighting which... sadly or fortunately, i have not experienced in the good old Dell days working as a call-center agent. Obviously, equipped with sword, armor and shield, i kept fighting for the good cause of ITSM but often question my contribution to the behemoth company what good does it make and what kind of life i am falling into here....

Am i looking for a vacation? or I am asking too much of my life?

Again the journey of soul searching and job finding starts... finally i managed to kick the butt of the reputable company which so horribly managed and none of the practice could help me say a single good word about them, and left. From a reputable company to a not so reputable company, another US company again. Almost close to take up another British company though, but my pref is always US as that's the environment I have spent 97% of my working life.

Food, is the only thing I hardly complaint here. Not because of there are great food everywhere, but for the sake for variety and huge numbers of them scatter every corner of the city you can ever explore. Obviously, it show results as i added 7kg since i came down. And my ex-reputable company's working life (24x7 non-stop incidents) partly blame for it as it screw up my body clock in every single chance it gets.

Traffic, which surprisingly with some good advice from relatives, I picked the right place to live where in worst situation, it is 15mins drive my place to work for a 7km distance. The same distance from my place to Bangsar but will averagely take 35mins even i paid for toll installed highways.

Well, life is much more settle down now with the new job and the work life starts to balance back but i am looking for more things to keep me occupy, not sure this is the disease my ex-reputable company pass on to me, but the work now is a bit relaxing like In-kei,...

Now, I am planning to move further out the city and will be looking to face more traffic jam music moving forward.

At the same time, have been thinking what is my next 'focus' after ITIL all these years. Maybe go back to technology and operational roles? Maybe move into consultancy or training ? Hmm.... continue to search for next destination.
