Updates

After few weeks working on hiring, I am still not able to find the right person based on current requirements, so need to make a decision tomorrow to review the needs...

Work life in J-kei is similar in some cases but differences in many ways... first J-kei likes to be lean, so not luxury like everything get or focus on T-comp, but their pay range is quite ok. Second J-kei exercise better empowerment, lots of decisions have to make by individual, and plenty of grey areas you have to define yourself. Third, J-kei likes constructive confrontation and you will be challenge all the time of your decisions... so the early stages is like a war room but the longer it goes, the better....

But the life after In-kei means no stock options, no better benefits, and almost every damn process is not defined for you (which in-kei did)....

Of course, I still enjoy every much.... because this is a startup role... there have been little global IT folks until now... so many areas are not define...which is fun ....or nightmare depends how you term it LOL~

Apart from that, my apt also give me plenty of headache... I am part of the Joint-Mgmt Board/Committee that runs the whole apt bldg now, weekly we have meetings to discuss security issues, contracts with vendors, cleanliness.... and tenants/owners' complaints.... it so hard to please any one ... not to mention my apt have german, swiss, japanese, korean, ... so many different things... of course, plus ppl who dont pay maintenance, abuse card access systems, not following house rules, simply put their furnitures on the corridor....etc etc... (we even have our security guards locked up by police as our security company didnt renew their permit.....sigh...)

All and all, my work and life is getting a lot more fun and challenging..... (next year i will quite the JMB...too much work, lol...)
