Its been a week since i got my Astro Max, the Astro decoder with a hard disk in it where you can record the programmes and save in it up to 60 hrs (30 episodes of HK/Korean series). The decoder allow you to connect to an external video cassette recorder or DVR (digital video recorder) to record the movie as well (in case u used up the 60 hrs).
However, its not a 100% satisfaction product yet. First the On screen schedule still 'cacat' although better than the normal Astro decoder. I have 2-3 cartoons (its meant for my kiddo u see...) that has some sound problem (some part of the cartoon does not have sound)... and today i found that the program i suppose to record does not show up on the screen. I only used up to 6 hrs so far....
But this is definitely a good step, i meant i am not the series type people (chasing the series everyday) but it does give me the convienient as sometimes the show i want to watch i cant as my son wants cartoon or have other work need to do...
RM849 for existing Astro customers. I will update again 2 weeks later once i tried to fix my current problem. Hopefully there is good news... the installer told me, I am the 26th customer in Penang to own it :) ... and the installer themselves has hardtime to install it as it needs a lot of computer knowledge (kinda) compare to just simply plug and play....
