Images of Shanghai should be a mixture of old and new in everything... but its not the case. Shanghai is pretty much a larger version of Singapore. Much bigger, more crowded and dirtier place.
In fact, most of people i spoke to (non-locals) not able to find what they look for... some fashion that suits our taste... there are lots of bootleg bags, watches, ...etc, but if you look for a brand that suit mid-upper class, quite tough. There are lots of expensive brands around though.
All the shopping malls are here.... Yohan, Ikea, Parkson...etc.. But their fashion taste is slight different.. but one thing they do quite similar like us... hair styling :)
Went to 上海滩 tonight, look at the famous place, however, nothing really nostalgic here... nothing that makes me feel really sentimental :P , what i know about Shanghai (from the old TV series star by Chow Yun-fat) is longer valid.

night......
